Today was treatment 24 of 30. Getting close to wrapping this up! I’m looking forward to getting a break from the radiation this weekend and especially excited to see Meier and Aaron who are coming down with my parents. I wasn’t able to see them last weekend and I really miss them. Hopefully, I’ll have some energy and we can go check out something interesting together.
The side effects are still under control for the most part. Sometimes I get a sharp pain on my tongue and/or cheek where I have some sores but it usually fades within a few minutes. My throat feels tight and irritated and I’m very, very tired. I’m still meeting my goals for calories and protein and exercising just about every day. The fatigue is making it more difficult for me to concentrate for significant periods of time.
Even though I was tired today I decided to go for a ride and check out the architecture of Miami Beach. I started on Collins Ave on South Beach and drove up to North Beach stopping for a while to check out the exhibit Gold at the Bass Museum. I made these studies of light, shadow and geometry on the way out.
