7 October 2014 – Entering Second Half Of Treatment

I just got back from treatment 16 a little while ago. I am feeling strong and confident today. My goals include maintaining my ability to eat through my mouth and drive throughout the rest of my treatments. I know that the cumulative side effects of my treatments will make this an intense challenge as they grow stronger with time, knocking me down harder. I feel like I have the strategies, tools, inner strength, faith and support to make this happen. The longer I can go without a feeding tube the better I’ll do on the other side.

It’s a grey, rainy day here. Planning a trip to Target to get the “Magic Mix” and liquid Zantac at some point today. I may even crack open the book I’ve been saving for a rainy day. I bought Kabbalah in Art & Architecture by Alexander Gorlin as a present to myself between surgery and radiation and have been enjoying the anticipation of reading it while stuck at home. I’ve read several excerpts online and it looks absolutely fascinating and inspiring!
