4 September 2014 – Dentist Gives Green Light

To round out my week I had an appointment with my new dentist today. Dr. Spallone and her assistant were fantastic! They did a full set of X-rays, cleaned and checked my teeth for weakness and decay and made molds for flouride trays. She was very reassuring and said my teeth look strong and healthy. In addition to the normal brushing and flossing I need to stay away from soda, avoid sucking on lemons and use my fluoride trays nightly to help keep the enamel on my teeth strong during radiotherapy. Very important!

I pick up my fluoride trays on Tuesday and begin radiotherapy the following Monday. After treatment I will have to follow up with Dr. Spallone every three months for check ups.

Open wide!
